Mastery goals and Training methods

Mastery goals

The mastery goal model is based on the assumption that you have chosen an activity that you want or are required to have a qualitative relationship with. The activity could be complying with a procedure, conducting a performance review or leading meetings, to name a few examples.

How well you master an activity has a decisive impact on the results you achieve, but many people are naive to this realization and do not do what is necessary to master an activity at a level that produces the desired results.

A common misconception is that we can expect good results just because we "understand" how an activity should be carried out. The effect of just having understood is modest and quickly approaches zero if the understanding is not repeated or followed up with action.

The model claims that it is only when you have taken active ownership and understand how to use an activity where you are (narrative understanding) and actually start with regular use that you can become really good if you decide to.

It's where you set the mastery goals that determines how the training should take place

The graph shows different levels of compliance and what effect the different levels are most likely to have

The portal uses 2 different quality scales

The figures are only used in relation to the model "Transformation/Mastery Goals" and are a mixture of degree of compliance and quality of compliance

To be used on all Testers and is a pure quality scale where each of the numbers is described in each test so that there should be no doubt about the meaning of the numbers

Training methods

The "training methods" model is a guiding suggestion for a number of activities that are relevant to use to achieve a high effect based on a digital learning platform. By selecting and combining activities in a customized program, this can become a good plan, often with the addition of other activities not mentioned here.

The overview shows only a selection of methods or activities that can be used in relation to the different mastery goals, and many others can of course be used successfully. Nonetheless, the suggested activities up to level "3/Understood" are quite specific and are recommended

There are some different activities for the different mastery intervals, but there are also activities that are recommended for all levels, such as repeating
